After a Brightsign is registered with an organization (ex: set up for an exhibition at Acme Museum), it will store information in its registry about that organization to simplify syncing and content management.
If the Brightsign is sold or sent to another organization (for example as part of a exhibition travelling to Omega Museum), currently a special process is required to reconfigure the BrightSign to be registered with the new organization.
** If the BrightSign isn't properly migrated / re-registered, it will continue to sync with the previous organization, even if the BrightScript bundle on the SD card is updated. **
Using the AccessKit Admin UI for the old organization, find and delete the media player you want to migrate to the new account.
Perform a Factory Reset of the BrightSign to clear its registry and registration. For most models:
Use a new SD card or format the SD card.
Using the AccessKit Admin UI for the new organization, follow the standard registration prcess. The media player should appear in the new new organization's admin dashboard, and can be assigned to Works.
If any errors occur during this process, please follow the on-screen prompts. If errors persist, please contact the AccessKit team for additional assistance. We can also assist with the process of migrating Exhibitions and Works between AccessKit orgs, to simplify travelling exhibitions that require unique branding at each location.
