Table of Contents

Method 1: Manual Updating

  1. Turn your Mediaplayer or BrightSign off and remove the SD card.
  2. Insert the SD card into your computer's card reader.
  3. Delete any video files already on the SD card, but do not delete any of the other files.
  4. Place a video file onto the SD Card.
  5. Re-insert the SD card into your Mediaplayer or BrightSign.
  6. Power your Mediaplayer or BrightSign on.

Method 2: Remote Updating

  1. Make the media file accessible over the local network or over the internet.

    • We recommend using Dropbox for quick download speeds.
  2. Copy the media file's resource link.

    • For Dropbox, you can do this by copying its automatically generated "Share File" link, and replace dl=0 with raw=1 at the end of the link. For example:

        changes to:

        https://www.dropbox.com/s/bc3dl1tu40kyyft/test.mp4?raw=1

  3. Click on the Mediaplayer's page in the AccessKit Admin Interface.

  4. Paste the media file's resource link into the Remote Video URL field.

  5. Check the New Content Available checkbox. Make sure the checkmark is showing!

  6. Click the Update Mediaplayer button.

  7. The Mediaplayer will stop playing whatever media it is playing and display Downloading new content on its monitor.

  8. Do not power the player off while it is downloading.

    • The speed will depend on your internet connection. Large files (1GB+) can take an hour or more, but ~20 minutes is more typical.
  9. When downloading is complete, your Mediaplayer will automatically reboot and begin playing the new content.
